Expectation

This was supposed to be a happy entry since Mum has arranged a get together session to celebrate my Full Month. Like this was supposed how bored it was for Xiao Gu who basically just sit around and people watched. It was going to be about Mum ordered a bit too much food and kept asking the guests to eat more, packed back etc. And about me who decided to trick everyone who made an effort to meet and end up watching me sleep, shit and drinking milk. And, the whole pot of pork leg in vinegar that Uncle Thomas made his mother prepared. Basically, those who have turned up that day are the closest ones of Mum and Dad as they do not like celebrating in a big way. That is why Mum is so glad that I was not born on National Day.

Jessie Jie Jie and Auntie Minna have asked why was it me who blog and not Mum. That is because she is someone with a dark side, this dark side is sometimes grey and at it worst, it is black. That is when Mum went back to her cave. So, if she is the one blogging, all the entries will probably be sentimental and sad stuff. And, she hopes that I will not inherit this part of her so it is me who blog in a more light hearted way and cute as well.

Assume that it is Mum who is blogging, this entry will be a melancholic one about expectation. Is having expectation a good or bad thing? It is good when expectations are set, work to achieve and attained. When good things happen out of expectations, one is happy. However, with expectations come obligations, the downside of it. The obligation that when you are expected to reciprocate the attempts of good efforts that a person whom you are trying to distant from. Who are such people? A perpetually father who get drunk, rough and unreasonable and it had to happen on a day that was supposed to be joyous. And, people who used to be friends but at some point, the bond comes to a standstill for reasons that sometimes even Mum do not know. So Mum has changed, she used to be nicer but now she is more careful and selective to her niceness. And, she has also lower her expectations from people around her so that there will be fewer obligations and everyone will be happier.
